Nothing to do

There's nothing going on around here except for rain and work. I'm waiting on my tank to get finished, thats the price I pay for the price I'm paying. We had a good Christmas and are looking forward to the new year. I have plans to go to Port Costa Jan 22 to party with the Too Much Fun Club and am hoping to have the Pan up and running by then but we will see.

I scored four tickets to the Billy Idol concert last night. Took the wife and a couple of friends, one was the D.D. so the party was on. Luckily no hangover this morning.

I have some time on my hands with all of this rain. So I decided to put on some parts I got off ebay. Less rust more chrome.

At the very least I am getting really familiar with linkerts.

Got to go out to the garage and work today. I bought a chrome linkert on ebay for the pan. It needed to be gone cleaned up and checked out. It looked good and shined up well. Now when I get the tank back I'll see if it will run.

December fun

went to Nevada City Saturday for the annual toy run. What a perfect California day, once I got east of Sacramento. It was foggy and nasty here in the bay. I met up with some friends in Auburn, had a blast with them but I had to miss out on the Boozefighter's after party. Had to go to work for the third night in a row but every thing is back to normal now I even got to fit some ebay parts up on the pan.

I have been off all weekend and have done nothing out in the garage. Finally I got off my ass and pulled the linkert off the knuck, it was leaking gas from the float bowl and idling erratically. Just cant get that damn bike to run right yet. Since I had carbs on the brain I cleaned up another one I had hanging around.

It was a rainy day here and I was not having any luck with the knuckelhead. My parents came by, Mom brought her camera and was feeling artsy. Here are some pic's she took today.

I decided that I wanted the bates seat back on the Knuck so I made a new seat hinge that bolts on. Tomorrow it's supposed to rain maybe I'll put the linkert back on.

I got it to fire up and idle but it needed more carb work and the oil pressure wasn't right. The linkert is on the work bench and the pressure screw is turned in lets see what tomorrow will bring.

Sunday

Had some time to finish putting the 47 together today, hopefully it will be the last time for a good long while. I got it to fire and run for a minute but I did not have enough gas in the can to run it long enough to adjust the linkert.
