Picked it up today

My Mom and I met up down town to fetch a couple of rollers. My far out molded chopper and a servi-car that my Dad wanted some parts off of. It turns out Mom wants the servi-car all for herself.

I'm going to pick up a new frame tomorrow just for the fuck of it. We'll see what happens with it after that. Oh yeah don't tell My wife, I haven't yet. She will probably want to kick my ass. but I turned a bucket of copper wire into this sweet little frame.

Cleaned up some funk on the pan head this weekend. I got the barrels all cleaned and painted along with the lifter blocks now I'm just waiting on the gasket kit and some new rings and my hillbilly top end job will done...

My boy came out and lent me a hand

The wife even made some little smokey's for us, garage style

This bead blast cabinet has saved me so much time.

Progress???

if you can call tearing the engine down progress. I did find a stuck oil ring on the rear piston. Now I have to order a set of rings and a some gaskets.

Work, work, work...

So after the carb cleanup I fired the Pan up got her all warm and gave the throttle a little bump and what do you know the rear pipe was smoking with that good old blue hue. The rear head had to come off for inspection. What do you know my worst fear came true. The head wouldn't come off it needed a little more clearance between the rocker box and frame. Out with the engine and on with a top end job....

borrowed a lift from my dad

lots of room, yeah right

now this is depressing, #2 without a engine at the same time

Playing catch up

Finally got some time to work on the Pan. It was acting like it was starving for gas and it had got really hot. I figured part of the problem was 30 year old O-rings on the intake manifold and by the looks of them I was part right. Pulled the float bowl off the old Linkert just to make sure there was no crap in it. now I just have to go back outside and put it back together.
