1936 Dodge

Deal Pending....I posted my Dodge business coup on Craigslist but thought that I would put it here as well. The old coup has the factory flathead 6, I put a dual carb manifold and cast headers on it. The trans is out right now I just rebuilt it but am missing the output shaft seal. I do have the hood, front bumper and factory fog lamps. I hate to sell it but it has to go. I might trade it for a running chopper. Email me a ( fl47_knucklehead@yahoo.com )

Sunday in the garage

ready for some serious work...

this might be as clean as it gets for a while.

put it up to fix the kick stand and steel wool the wheels.
I finally got a chance to work uninterrupted out in the garage today and got some serious work done. Made my brackets and got the pipes on. I put the passenger peg mount on, found matching cast Anderson pegs in the shed and even got some more rust off of this old funky thing.

Home

Just got home from the coast run and we had a great time. It was dry all day Friday and Saturday a little wet at night due to all the fog. I'll post some pictures when I dig out the camera.

Coast Run

We are off to the hills above the North Coast for a two day party with the Too Much Fun Club. The Fryed brothers will be playing sat night and the booze will be flowing. Nothing better than a 80 acre private ranch to have a party on. Go to the Too Much Fun Club website for details on the party and if you are in the area and looking for a fun old school bike party come on up 50.00 will get you in and fed (bring a tent). Ask one of the members where I am (Jesse) I'll be glad to show you around, help get you set up in a camp spot and point you to the fun.

So I got the pictures of my soft tail from my insurance co. I had lent in to a friend from Australia to finish his Sturgis ride. His ride ended outside of Flagstaff AZ when he crossed the double yellow and hit a f150 head on. He is recovering and will be ok eventually.

Fresh air
Got to get out and enjoy the last of summer this weekend. I just have to get a good running bike from my dad. No new parts for the pan yet.

Barn Chopper

Oh and I was able to put the Z bars on

It works and aint too ugly

I had to make a new stop, it might as well look decent
A long night out in the garage but I got some needed stuff done on the Pan. It had no fork stops except for the gas tank. I fired up the old lathe and turned out a new stop. I scrounged some parts out of my dad's stash and came up with a old pair of Z bars, they worked perfectly just the right patina.

the tank was the fork stop

Barn Chopper

Headed out to tinker with the pan. I have to change the risers and maybe the bars, they are hitting the tank. I took it for a short ride yesterday and it ran really rough. I have to tune the carb a little more.

Barn Chopper

My wife wasn't impressed but she hasn't gone for a ride yet

So a while back I wandered into our local bike shop Kick  Bak and while picking up some parts to get a evo running I was told in passing about a rat pan for sale. The horror stories about how rough this bike was almost turned me off but I had to see it, the price could not be beat. A couple of phone calls and a week or two passed.  Dad, Sofia and I went to check it out. How could I resist, could you? We bough it and took it back to my folks place. We where told it ran but you never know. So when it fired up in the drive way I was stoked, it needs some work on the carb but I rode it home.
