I survived another...
Too Much Fun Club party. The wife and I had a great time at Port Costa and the hotel was a happening place, I know some of the guests never went to sleep. I kept waking up to people singing and laughing in the room down the hall.
I came home and took the frame off the hangers and started to put things back together.

had to hire it out
I had all of the stuff to blast the shovel frame. I even got it half way blasted but the fog came in and wouldn't let me finish or paint at my truck yard so I hired it out. Dropped it off today pick it up tomorrow after work blasted and primed, thats what they said. We will see.

long day...
and all I bought was a " Vintage period correct" helmet for my kids. All in all I had a fun, got to look through rusty old junk and visit with some friends and meet some new people. Maybe next time I will find that part i cant live without.

Progress
I got most of my engine parts for the shovel Friday. The only thing holding me back from putting the whole thing together was the lack of a bead blaster. Craigslist didn't pan out so I went to Harbor Freight and got a new bench top cabinet and presto it's almost back together.

New year, New project
I got the pan head just about where I want it so I tore into the the shovel yesterday. I got the frame all welded up and the top end off of the engine. It's no where near as bad as I thought, all carboned up but not rusted and the lower end feels tight.
