How should the air go in?

I took the engine killer off the Shovel and put the super E on but I didn't have a small air cleaner ( I hate those teardrop S&S ones ). So I got this crazy idea to make one out of an amp gauge face plate off this three faze generator we are scraping. Here are some shots from the garage tonight, almost done.

I need to put a filter element in and rap the outer screen and on it goes.
It's going to look bad ass, I like the glass window on it.

The Panhead...

in its final form for now, I think? My mom worked her magic on these pics, you can find her on flicker or her blog ( sometimethemagicworks.blogspot.com ) these are all high res HDR photos they can be made into full size prints.

Chrome

I got my header and sissy bar back today the chrome came out great. I could have prepped the header better, I can see the welds. Live and learn...

My mom took better pictures Ill post them later.

Heavy Metal

Spent the day at our truck yard scraping an old Pete, damn shame it was a good old truck 15 years ago.

We will cut the frame up and squish the cab some time next week and then its off to the scrap yard.

Swapmeet Special

Sunday ride

Went out for a ride and ended up at Port Costa for lunch.

Back from Sonora

The Deathtraps swapmeet was a success. Twenty dollar bottomless beers, tons of old iron on the ground, good people and some cold weather made for a great atmosphere. I had to take off early I just wasn't feeling good ( got a bug from my crumb crusher right before I left ). I pulled the bike out at the swapmeet but never went for a ride. The only pictures  I took where at my friends place up a couple of miles of dirt ( MUD ) road.

It runs good....

My pan is alive and It runs good. I went for a putt today, hail and all. I missed having a bike that was fun to ride around. The bagger is nice and comfortable but no where near as fun as the pan.
    I'm heading to Sonora tomorrow for the Deathtrap swap meet and will hope fully avoid a spring snow.

Out and about

I got the bug today so I put the old sissy bar on and went for a ride.
