Rainy days

I've been plugging away on the '59. I think I am almost ready to paint the frame.

Went out tonight...

I went out for a little putt tonight very little. Picked up a six-pack and rode over to a good friends shop. Just sat around and shot the shit, no pictures just good times. Heading to Dixon tomorrow for the MMA swap-meet with dad maybe I can remember my camera.

 I saw this '59 on Craigslist bone stock all original no price but the guy had another one, only one serial number off.

After all this rain we have been getting I finally got bored enough to go over and start in on the folks new garage. After some shelves, a few pictures and parts we got most of one wall done today. It makes the place look much nicer.

More pieces to the puzzle

 I got lucky and found a set of '59 tanks on Ebay. The guy didn't know what he had put the wrong title and set a low "by now". I snagged them up and they were just what I expected. A little paint stripper, found the emblem area leaded in and only one ding. I just have to make the badge tabs, V-Twin's are just not right.

Got some good riding time in this week, an evening out after work Wednesday and the Yerba Buena A.M.C.A's annual 49 Mile ride.

Slow times around here

Slowing down a bit for the winter but I did managed to get out on Saturday, all the way downtown. My mom had a booth setup at a local bike club's poker run.

   More unfuckering on the new used wishbone for the 59. just a few more weld-on's to go and I can apply paint and assemble.

Motorcycle Cannonball 2012

this was the second to last day of the race the rider suffered minor injuries. This bike has hard mounted floorboards and caught one in a turn, he got lucky on Hwy 1, only went down this slope not off a cliff.
