My sister's family and mine got together for the weekend. No bikes, hell they wouldn't let them in the campground. We managed to have fun any way.

Weekend round-up
Went for a ride to Guernville for a poker run with the Too Much Fun Club. I left Friday with a couple of friends, blasted through Santa Rosa and hit the Stumptown Brewery on reserve. After our first beer we talked our way into a free campsite behind the bar for the weekend. The poker run was on Saturday and ended back at the brewery. Great weather and good friends all is right with the world. Throwing that tent out on the ground has me ready for summer now. Memorial day and Born Free are next I cant wait.

Got something in the mail

If you cant buy what you want....
Made me an air cleaner. Well I finished it up last night. the only thing that had me held up was the element. I decided to use one of the old wire mesh ones I had hanging around.
Off to Port Costa for the afternoon. Maybe I'll bring my camera this time. See you there.

all waxed up...
and nothing to do.
I spent the day with my dad, getting him motivated. His 56 still needed to get a carb put on it. He got the tanks off and found out the right one was cracked and brazed it (all fixed now). He has to make a throttle cable bracket for the new Bendix and it should be done. I spent most of my time watching him work and cleaning the surface rust off of the chrome. After I finished up with his bike I went to work shining mine back up, not much to it.
I heard that there was going to be a bike and car show down town tonight, WRONG, but I wasn't the only one that showed up. A half dozen cars showed. I decided to go for a put around the marina with my daughter instead.

Flea Market finds
Went to the flea market for the first time this year and came away with a couple of vintage helmets. The bigger one has a 1966 U.S.A.S.I. sticker in it the other one has a leather liner. Not bad for ten bucks.
This thing caught my eye with the flames they are raised. When I looked closer someone put them on with striping tape and then painted the blue micro flake over it. |
